Kids ask a lot of questions and one of the frequent ones is “what is your favorite color?”….and for me it is a tough one. How can you chose among so many wonderful colors that only one…so I make my children confused as I do change my color preference quite often…sometimes it is red, then it is blue…mustard…and so forth… Suddenly I might love everything white, then turn to black or pastel and at times I can even like bold colors…it is probably from all these toys scattered around the house.
Here in my olive tree valley I am surrounded always by two colors which cover massive areas. They are green and blue. The green color comes from the endless groves of olive trees and cypresses and the blue from the sea blending with the sky.

They are both very serene colors and they stand close to each other on the color palette but together they create a surprisingly evoking and soothing picture. I often imagine painting the walls and the furniture of our home with those colors so we can literally blend into our surroundings…but it is a lot of painting to be done, never enough time left for major interior projects and too many bold color toys lying around stopping me from the desired “blending in”.
….I recognize that whenever I encounter objects with the combination of blue and green color I instantly like them, objects such as some of the ceramics on this post, so maybe I do not know what is my favorite color but I can say with certainty what is one of my very favorite color combinations is…GREEN&BLUE
